The following activities explore the issues associated with the use of biotechnology to change the characteristics, or survival chances, of organisms in their environment. The activities explore:

  • the economic cost and conservation alternatives involved in conserving endangered species
  • the likelihood of success, the environmental heritage issues, the benefits to general research and the economics of resurrecting an extinct species.
